This restaurant is situated in the middle of Anusam Market. We had a drink here one lunch time and looked at the various fish, crabs, lobster etc in the tanks. You choose your own and then they cook it for you. In the evening it seemed very popular with Thai people.

Ping ping seafood is a place wich will never see us again. What a dissapointment! We ordered a watermelon shake, tom kha kai (a coconut soup)  a schrimp soup and a meat dish.

First of all, after all the waiting, we never got the shrimp soup.

Secondly ; The watermelon shake was rotten. You could smell it and obviously taste it. The coconut soup came and taste extremely sour and just weird. I know the right thai taste is that it should taste a little sour but this was just not right. When we tasted the chicken from the soup we knew where it came from. The chicken was spoiled / rotten.

We called the waitress again, but the manager saw that and came to us. We told him our experience and he seemed annoyed and irritated. Letting us know we dont know a thing about thai food. After he tasted the soup he admit the soup wasnt good.
With this second spoiled food it was enough for us.

Thank Charmaine C

You have to be discrimination the fish tanks and a la carte.food by weight are not worth it.
If you want a simple Thai meal ,eg tom yam kung, morning glory and rice ,fair price.
Avoid the satay, ruuny sauce and no pickles offred

Would like to look for hawker food first night in Chiang Mai. However, after walking along the night market, discovered this open air restaurant. As my mom had mobility problem, didn't want to search further even though the restaurant was quite empty. Order Phad Thai, vegetables and satay just for two of us. The vegetables were so old that it was very chewy and only fibre which couldn't be swallowed. As for the chicken satays, never ever had such dry and tasteless satays. The Phad Thai was at least normal but some parts of the noodles were not cooked and still hard. Overall it was very poor and disappointing.
