This was undoubtedly the highlight of our trip, being on a Segway is generally a fun experience but doing it in Bangkok brings it to a whole new level. Jun, the tour guide is a star. His pre tour training session instils in you the confidence needed to initially brave BKK's infamous traffic clogged streets on a two wheeled vehicle that is controlled by your balance ! Once you're up and rolling though his commentary, knowledge and reassuring presence make this an excellent t, must do tour

Loved this tour. We have Segwayed before in San Francisco and this one was equally good. It's easy to learn to do and safe. Our teenagers really enjoyed the free time at the end to speed around the local park. We learned a lot in a fun way.

We booked the 3 hour Rattanakosin Island tour. It seemed expensive at first, but as it was a holiday I thought "why not?"

I'm so glad that we went for it. Not only was riding the Segway itself loads of fun, but our tour guide, Jun, was absolutely fantastic. He was not only really knowledgeable, but he was also really funny and personable. It was a very entertaining day!

We had been to Bangkok before and been around Rattanakosin Island by foot, but we had not been able to see so much, especially in such a short period of time - it really was an excellent way of seeing everything.

The 3 hour tour consists of 20-30 minutes of Segway training, then an additional 20-30 minutes at the end of the tour just to zoom around the park and have fun. Our tour guide took loads of photos and video with us and gave us the opportunity to stop whenever we wanted. It was really a great experience.

We were 4 persons and none of us had ever riden a Segway before so we was a bit sceptical.. We got even more sceptical when we learned that parts of the ride was in Bangkok traffic.. That said we got plenty of time to get comfertable on the segway and our guide showed that security was a key importance. We only paid for a good 1.5h but the tour ended up taking much longer. We walked into Wat Po without the Segways and our guide showed us around and explained the different sites. There were some pavements etc. that we had to drive over, but on the highest and most difficult ones our guide got of his Swegway and helped us over..

We all agreed that this was a very fun way to explore Bangkok!!.. Would love to do it again.

We tried this on our trip to Bangkok in the third week of August 2009 - am writing the review a bit late......
The experience was mostly a positive one - our guide on that day (sorry have forgotten his name) was great at teaching us the workings of the Segways. We got ample time to get the hang of it. The real doozy is that as soon as you have gotten comfortable, off you go into the crazy traffic of Bangkok on this machine that still feels like an unwilling horse with a mind of its own!!!
The ride from the Segway office to the park where you are supposed to go for an undisturbed ride is hazardous to say the least - cazy traffic, many steeps ramps to traverse from road to sidewalks and vice-versa......Inspite of all this, I must say that we thoroughly enjoyed the unique experience of riding the Segways and have no complaints about the friendliness and competence of the guide. However if you are spending this kind of money and wanna enjoy this to the fullest, then try and take their Segway tour in Ayutthaya, where there's no traffic and ample open spaces to zoom about.
