This hotel is beautiful. We stayed here for 4 days and it really is beautiful. The decor is very Chinese and really has a great 1930's feel to it. The only issue that we had was that they did not cater for English food much, other than that, the place is beautiful and really is in the middle of China town so the road at night is beautiful and such a great, busy experience! The other let down is that there is no pool in this hotel. The restaurant/bar is really nice to chill at because they play live music which is great.

Dear Nikitab89,

Thank you for your feedback. Glad to hear you enjoyed the hotel's interiors, live jazz and cocktail bar and location in the heart of Chinatown. We do not have a pool, that is correct. However, no where in our literature do we say we offer swimming facilities. I am sorry you were not aware of this when you booked.

Kind regards,

Beautiful, beautiful boutique hotel. Every detail has been carefully thought of to recreate of dreamy Shanghai of the 1930’s from the little cage bird in the bathroom to the entrance of the hotel with a bridge. Every corner of the hotel deserves to be taken in picture but most of all it is because the service is exceptional that I would recommend this place. You are looked after from the minute you stepped foot in the hotel until check out. The hotel offers a complimentary mini bar and every day you have an activity offered (from drinks to a visit of Chinatown). The restaurant / bar is divine (although more expensive than all the street vendors of course).
The room is exquisite, very well equipped and comfortable.
If you want to visit Chinatown, you must stay there, you won’t regret it.

We stayed here in June for 2 nights on our honeymoon. The place is beautiful and we loved every second. It has a beautiful chilled out bar where you can watch the world go by, whilst a a jazz band plays in the background. Cocktails where amazing.....we tried them all! Bar staff, cleaners, reception staff and everyone else where great and made you feel at home. Can’t recommend the hotel enough....I really can’t! Keep doing what your all doing because you are so good at it! I hope to see you again some day. Thank you all very much!!

We are a family of four, myself, husband and two teenage daughters. We booked via Expedia and they classed my youngest who is 14 yrs of age as a child when we booked this hotel. We arrived late at night early morning at the hotel and thought it was very good. When we booked in we were told that we needed another bed in the room because my daughter is an adult and that we had to pay an extra 5000.00 bahts. This was obviously devastating to us and I tried to explain that this was all booked and paid for but the night manager stated that we needed another bed and had to pay for it. I bartered him down to 3000 bahts and a ported supplied the other bed so that we could at least get some sleep. The room was adequate. The windows all have frosted coloured glass that you can't see anything out of. The hotel is in the middle of China Town and if you like the hustle and bustle that's fine. The room was very clean and could not fault that but having to pay extra just totally took the shine off it for us. We were told that we had vouchers for breakfast but they had none left and guess what they didn't like this in the restuarant and basically didnt believe what we said. Would not return.

Dear Jill A,

Thank you for your feedback.
This is an unfortunate situation in that my staff did not properly review your booking. Indeed you had already paid for an extra person, and the additional charge of 3000 baht was not necessary. We will be refunding this to you in full. My sincerest apologies for this.
I will be sending you a personal email to give you further details about the full refund.

Regarding breakfast, we no longer have a breakfast voucher system in place. Again, I am sorry our team did not explain this to you properly or clearly. While our staff is typically very good at communicating our policies and programs, in this case they clearly failed. I will address this with our team to ensure these mishaps do not occur again.

Again, my sincerest apologies.

Kind regards,

Wonderful location in Chinatown - especially if food cruising is high on the agenda. The hotel has a great ambience - the online pictures don't mislead. The room we stayed in was a little on the small side but not bad.
Loved the "full on" shower!
Highlights included the amazing interior decorator, and the magnificent deco era portraits; the Jazz ( Mr Oh) and cocktails in the Red Rose bar; and finally the guided walk through Chinatown. Thank you Annie, a great 3 1/2 hour tour which seemed too short!
