Akara Bangkok is located near ARL Ratchaprarop but if you want to go to Pratunam, it is still quite a walk but safe because many people are walking too.
It was already night check-in, there was only one receptionist, in front of me it seemed like a walk-in guest took quite a long time, about 10 minutes to finish. We were asked for a deposit of 3,000 baht which was returned upon check-in. The first impression of the lobby is a bit crowded, but it is proper because the AC is cold so after walking with the hot Bangkok air it feels comfortable. Entering the room there is a work desk, work chair, day bed sofa, and mattress with 4 pillows and 2 decorative pillows. The room looks cramped because it is too full. The funny thing is that the closet is near the entrance to the room while the bathtub and washbasin are at the end of the room. Mineral water is provided in 2 bottles with coffee capsules, coffee sachets and Lipton tea. The TV, although not too big, is clear. Wifi is also quite good. All controls in this room are provided on an electronic tablet so you can turn on the AC lights etc., set it from the tablet.
The bathroom is clean, the bathtub is large, there is a shower, rain shower and water filler tap. Complete amenities but no razor. Everything works perfectly, towels are also complete, provided 2 body towels, 2 hand towels and 2 face towels.
Unfortunately our room was not cleaned on the second day, because we had returned to the hotel and wanted to rest so we just asked for new towels, amenities and mineral water.
The facilities include an infinity pool on the rooftop, the view is quite good, the gym didn't have time to take a photo. For breakfast, we only booked a room so we couldn't review it, but the Akara hotel provides afternoon tea for all guests from 2-4 pm. It's quite delicious, there are spring rolls, grilled bananas, sticky rice, rice vermicelli, Thai cassava, salad, fruit, coconut pudding and Thai iced tea.
