We had a large group from an Embassy and the food was very good and service was attentive and relatively quick (then again we did order in advance). I had the Capitaine Ou Meuniere and it was very good. The chicken kebobs also looked good and everyone seemed very satisfied with their meal. The place is clean and brightly lit and probably one of the best places to enjoy a meal in Bangui. It is possible to get a reasonable meal for about $18-$20 US.

A great place to have lunch and game of pétanque on the weekend. Good food, extensive menu, friendly service and off street parking outside.

There is not really any competition with Relais des Chasses in Bangui. Imagine this: some resourceful Frenchmen from Brittany are dropped into a city where EVERYTHING western is two or three times the price in Europe and they serve you a meal that could come from any good restaurant in France. Cleanliness is assured and this is no small thing here. The prices are high but, honestly, would you rather spend five or ten EURs more or have three days of diarrhea? The service is top notch and the food is good to very good.

Freddy the owner is a classic. Runs his establishment with an iron fist. When he is away the standard drops. Great food and excellent service from the local staff. Expensive but then again so is everything in Bangui
