This international restaurant - with a heavy French influence - is often considered one of the best in Bangui. I have generally received very good meals here, and on rare occasions have had food that I considered exceptionally good.
The seating is outdoors, but well covered in case it rains. Service is friendly but slow. The owner often makes the rounds and can sometimes seem a bit too familiar with patrons - but some people seem to enjoy this.
As for the food, the restaurant is probably the best place in Bangui to eat the river fish called capitaine. It is served as a carpaccio or as a smoked starter. Both are delicious. For the main courses, it is generally recommended to order from the daily specials. The beef stroganoff is excellent, as are duck dishes. On my last visit, I had outstanding coq au vin, made with a white wine and morel mushrooms.
The restaurant also has some of the best desserts in Bangui. The cakes are good (though the Black Forest cake is just a chocolate cake with some cherries - no kirsch!), but the ice cream is certainly the best in Bangui.
