As noted by other reviewers the Oudaia Kasbah is not as large or impressive as some others in Morocco. Nonetheless, while in Rabat it is a must see. There are barely a handful of streets yet it is still easy to get lost wandering around. The streets are very atmospheric. Many of the homes are painted with the same vibrant blue seen elsewhere in Morocco.

There is a nice view across the river from the Cafe Maure at one corner of the Kasbah. There is reputedly a nice view of the ocean from the opposite side but the courtyard was closed for repairs (as of March 2018).

It’s lovely! Steeped in history, ok it’s not Chefchaouen but it’s just as charming. Get dropped off at the main gate, walk in, it’s free, don’t let the “guides” lead you in. Take your time pottering about. Lots of charming twists and turns up to the views over the ocean and the Bouregreg.
Mint teas available and cakes and nicknacks Moroccan style to buy.

Another Rabat site which for us was nice without being anything particularly notable. As an old town goes, it was fine, but didn't stand out above others. I didn't think there was anything particularly attractive or interesting about it.

If I was in Rabat then I would go back, but I wouldn't travel from far away.

The Kasbah des Oudaias offers visitors a chance to explore the gardens, streets and alleyways of Rabat’s ancient walled citadel. The lower kasbah has green lovely spaces and shops, including delightful places to enjoy local teas and sweets, The upper kasbah is a maze of alleys lined by beautiful whitewashed buildings trimmed in bright blue. And at the top of the citadel are the ramparts of the citadel, offering a commanding view of the beach below and the waves of the Atlantic Ocean meeting the shore. An excursion here is a great way to spend time in Morocco’s capital.

Our first night in Morocco was spent wandering in the Kasbah. Highly recommend seeing the alleys with blue bottom and white homes , mosaic fountains, homes with flowers and a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean coast. Go and wander, see the gardens. It's fascinating.
