Our group stayed at the Enclave for thanksgiving. Every aspect of this trip was perfection. Oz was amazing, tending to our every need throughout the entire trip. The chef prepared meals quicker than we could eat them, and each one was amazing. There are fresh squeezed juices every morning. On Thanksgiving they even prepared for us a traditional American Thanksgiving meal. All the other staff was great as well and each one worked extremely hard to make our trip great. The island itself is stunning and during construction no detail was missed. We had entertainment brought in multiple nights from Masseuses, to fire throwers, to drummers, and bartender, each person was so kind and fun. If you can eat off the island be sure to check out tipsy tuna and barefoot. We had an amazing time snorkeling through Captain jaks as well. You also can snorkel right off the dock and see small fish, starfish, and sting ray. Bring bug spray as the island sprays for bugs but if you go anywhere else you will need it. I cannot say enough great things about The Enclave, and we will be back!
Island was fabulous and the chef and caretakers was awesome. We had the best food and our rooms were kept clean all day long. If you want to have an event Md or a couples trip this is the place rather the island. If you want to do a family reunion this is also the best place. The beds were so comfortable. Wish I knew who made thsn because I want one.. overall I will.be back and this is a awesome place to book. Oh the island sprays twice a day for sand flies and mosquitoes.. so no worries there.. be prepared to relax and unwind. The evacuate has your back..
This private island was all the website stated and more. Oswin, Windor, George and Mario went above and beyond cooking for us and setting up our pick up times for the excursions we had planned with barefoot rental and services. We even added massages that came to us! Everything was wonderful and I couldn't say enough about our time in Belize. Loved it and would suggest it to anyone!
The Enclave was the best vacation. The villas are super clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff are kind and generous. Every meal was absolutely delicious. Fourteen of us stayed 5 nights and were able to relax and enjoy paradise. We kayaked, used the paddle boards, hung out at our personal pier, played volleyball, cards, pool, ping pong, bags, booked massages on our villa porches etc...the staff worked around our excursions and were so accommodating to all of our diets. We were sad the vacation came to an end but want to go back next year! Not one of us had a single complaint about our experience at The Enclave.
12 of us traveled to this private island for a friend's birthday and had the most wonderful vacation!
Talia was very helpful and thorough with all of our pre-arrival questions... and we had a ton of questions.
Upon arrival to BZE airport, our group was personally escorted through security to board the smaller plane (Maya Air) to transport us to Placencia.
We were warmly greeted by Henry at the Placencia airport. We arrived early, so our houses weren't quite ready. No problem, though. Henry provided beverages and told us about the island while we waited.
Mario then picked us up on the boat and took us directly to the island. It was a great opportunity to see the ocean and then... wow... The Enclave!
The friendly team greeted us with beverages, a smile, and a tour. Each house is beautiful! They are a little close together, but you cannot hear/see each other when you're inside. This was no issue for us. They are all modern, very clean and beautifully decorated! Our personal favorites were Woodpecker and Scarlet Macaw because of the views. It was so beautiful and peaceful to wake up to those amazing views!
Laundry and cleaning service ladies were awesome too.
The chef (George) and assistant (Michael/Miguel and Marlon) were amazing! George prepared breakfast, lunch and dinner for us every day. We own a restaurant, so good food is key when we travel. George did an amazing job with our meals and accommodated several of our guests that had different dietary restrictions. The food and friendly service was a highlight for sure!!
It rained every day, but that wasn't a problem. There are so many activities on the island (and in town) that it didn't stop us from having fun. There are kayaks, ping pong, Jenga, corn hole, cards, volleyball, shuffleboard and an indoor "game" room.
Several of us got massages on the island and all were very good! We also went deep sea fishing and they cooked the fish that evening for us. I recommend these activities, along with the ATV tour and tubing tour (by Captian Jaks and Fred at Mayan World Tours). All were great activities!
Mario would drive us into town on the boat whenever we needed to go somewhere, no matter what time of day or night. We rented an extra golf cart and drove around Placencia. You could walk to a lot of shops, bars and restaurants, but it was fun riding the golf carts as well! The town is very laid back and every place we visited was friendly and good. You could also buy groceries and alcohol in town.
Tip: buy ABC in duty free in BZE airport (four bottles per person) and bring a lot of bug spray. This would be the only negative here, but they do spray the island each afternoon, which helps.
Overall, this was a trip of a lifetime thanks to the beautiful island, activities, food, service and staff!! I'm happy to recommend this to island to anyone!
THANK YOU x 100 from each person in our group!
