We enjoyed our entire week long stay at this resort. We especially appreciated the very caring and friendly staff. Everyone went out of their way to make sure our stay was very pleasurable. The cabana is very nice, the housekeeping was great and the two of us were very comfortable. We did not lack for anything. We grilled fresh fish on the patio one evening and we enjoyed the great food at the restaurant at the resort. We rented a golf cart to explore nearby beaches and spent relaxing afternoons by the pools or down by the sea. Greg was extremely helpful in providing all the information needed to arrange transportation to the resort. There is a great dive shop on the premises with a staff That is friendly and knowledgeable. The snorkeling trips to the reef were some of the best ever. The resort is located a ways from town so we would recommend renting a golf cart to explore. We were very happy that we were not staying in San Pedro. This is the perfect spot.
I am glad we chose to stay out of San Pedro's busy atmosphere. The Golf cart ride up the 10 miles is fun, but the roads are just as bad if not worse than they are in all of Belize. Bumpy. This place is well run, nice and clean, rooms well appointed. 3 pools, nice beach. Really had no problems at all. The only thing that shocked me was the Government tax at 12.5% additional cost over the price of my booking. When I paid for the room, I guess I just thought that was included but when I arrived I was informed by sapphire beach management I had to pay that, (which I did not see in the original listing, perhaps I missed it) and so that moved our price up an extra $137.00 But other than that, it was a great stay and one of the best we had in all of Belize and we stayed at many places that month.
