“This is our second time and we would stay here again!!”
Reviewed 20 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

These cabins are a nice getaway! Kitchen has full stove, full size refrigerator, coffee pot, and microwave. The bathroom is a nice size with a shower stall and plenty of counter space. The queen bed was a little hard for me, but others might find it perfect. The futon mattress was very comfortable, so I just dragged it to the floor and slept on that. A nice highlight was the bighorn sheep on the mountain directly behind our row of cabins every morning. They were so close that we got some awesome pictures. The only downside is that there is no fan or A/C, and July can be hot during the day in Colorado. We weren't prepared the first time and the cabin got very hot and uncomfortable, about 90 degrees inside. An employee gave us their box fan to cool it down. This time we brought two box fans to circulate the air and it worked perfectly. As far as cooking, if you need anything other than basic cooking items/utensils, bring it yourself (crockpot, larger fry pan or serving dishes, potato masher, etc.), as you get one large pot, a couple of very small pots, and I only had two 6-inch fry pans. I called the office and they brought me a 12-inch skillet so I could make breakfast. The office staff are super nice if you need anything at all! A real good upside is that if you don't want to cook you can just walk about a half of a block to the restaurant that is attached to the 3 Rivers office/store. Their food is very good. We had breakfast items and dinner. They have quick things for breakfast like yogurt parfaits, bagels, muffins, and you can even make your own waffles. Their ribs and salads for dinner are wonderful too. Another thing: If you're a coffee drinker, bring your own coffee, cream, sugar. They provide the coffee pot and the filters, but you have to bring everything else. If you are coming to Almont through Gunnison, there is a very reasonably priced grocery store where we get all of our grocery supplies . . . City Market (if you don't have a shoppers card to get the discounts, you can get one at the register, well worth it!). It is right next to the Walmart if you need other supplies. If you choose to stay at 3 Rivers Resort in Almont, you won't be sorry. It was a very positive experience both times we stayed there!

Liked best: Even though there were many cabins, it was quiet. They weren't on top of each other.
Liked least: There wasn't a fan in the cabin, and July gets very hot in the cabin.

“Great getaway”
Reviewed 10 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

We came to Three Rivers Resort to attend the wedding of a great friend. Our "cabin" (a small trailer built to look like a cabin) was on the river and very clean and well supplied. The cabin had a loft which would make it great to bring the grandkids to on our next visit. Small bedroom space due to the queen bed, but it was a minor inconvenience.
The cabins are close together, but our fellow quests were quiet and respectful. The grounds were well kept and clean.
There is no A/C, so bring a fan if you are coming in the middle of summer. It did cool down at night for us, so open windows and ceiling fan did a good job of cooling it down.
The staff at the resort were always very helpful and polite. We had a wonderful time and plan on returning. Thank you.
