This was a great hotel to stay in just a short 10 minute walk to The Anthem in a safe and pleasant neighborhood. It was considerably cheaper than actually staying at any of the hotels on the Wharf! Very clean, with spacious rooms and breakfast included. Has a nice rooftop bar that is reasonably priced. Don't be concerned about the fact that it sits right next to a busy freeway - we literally could not hear any traffic noise at all in our room. Do be prepared to pay $40 for valet only parking. Will definitely stay here again when attending events at the Wharf.

While we love having the Wharf so close as another added source of entertainment, we do also acknowledge its cost. Not only are the hotel rooms, dining... and parking more expensive but our location actually sits you closer to the District.

We love being in the middle of both the Wharf and the National Mall. Walking is a popular option with our guests and I am glad that you found the walk to the Wharf safe and short.

The hotel is new, clean and comfortable. Within walking distance of the Smithsonian, the National Mall, L'Enfant Plaza and Capitol Hill. The staff was pleasant, helpful and welcoming. Loved the free breakfast bar.

Perhaps unfairly, but I compared this Hyatt Place to the one I had just stayed in, downtown Austin. I chose Hyatt Place for this trip because I had such great experiences with this brand in Austin and El Paso. Location was good- we were mostly walking to the museums on National Mall. This part of town is rather vanilla and sterile compared with the charm of the Georgetown area, but a good walking location just the same. The desk attendant Ken was helpful, knowledgeable, and pleasant. Our waitress for the rooftop restaurant was also very sweet (so sorry, can't remember her name) and attentive. The staff were all friendly, but they just didn't seem to have their act together. We asked staff downstairs at the gallery cafe (quick sandwiches, pastries) about the food and hours of the rooftop, and they could not tell us anything. The answer was, "oh, I don't know." Luckily, Ken was able to help us. That happened a few times in our short stay. The room itself was very nice, beds clean and comfortable-Hyatt is consistent with this. No water, which is usually provided for members. Hopefully our experience was not typical, and it wasn't necessarily bad. As I stated, everyone was friendly enough, and it is still a nice establishment. It seemed like there must have been a huge staff turnover to have that many people so unfamiliar with the hotel. Not so bad that we won't return- I'm sure we will.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Hyatt Place Georgetown DC. It is within walking distance to most of my meetings while conveniently situated within the hotel belt that is key to arranging meetings. Staff are friendly and fairly available to address any needs.

We stayed here as part of our trip to Washington dc and from the moment we walked into the hotel we were made to feel very welcome. The staff are very friendly and professional with a lot of help and advice on our stay. The room was very nice and spacious with all the amenities you could need. We called into the rooftop bar for a few drinks before we went out to explore the area and again we had a nice time with the staff. I think the hotel is located in a great place for visiting the National Mall which is a 10 -15 minutes walk away. The L'enfant plaza metro station is about the same distance from the hotel and has the main lines around the city. I would definitely recommend this hotel for your visit to Washington dc for a nice visit.
