To start with the owener(Sherman) was very reesponsive and helpful. The property was clean and being updated. The towels and part of the furniture is old, worn and in need ot replacement (especially the couch in the living room which has you setting nearly on the floor and the couch in the front bredroom). This property is on the main route for the police and ambulance so it is very noisey throughout the night. Also, the nextdoor neighbors are loud and like to party into the early hours. The walk to the Rhode Island Metro is over 1/2 mile and takes more than 20 minutes to walk if you are over 21. When getting directions from the Metro Police we were informed not to walk back to property after dark. We felt safe walking during the daylight but were in a party of 4.

condo has been redone and is attractive. It was clean.
Needs touch-ups on paint; dishes, pots and pans need to go to Salvation Army as well at the towels. terrible
Door of washing machine; parts were missing and unusable. Manager said it would be repaired the next day. It was never fixed; manager would not return phone calls
Ice machine on frig did not work - one ice tray furnished
Water on frig not work properly.
Neighborhood questionable at night. Many sirens, police cars and traffic was really loud.
Walk to Metro was far. You could use 1 bus going to Metro; but returning to apartment you had to use 2 different buses to get back to Rhode Island Avenue. Manager never mentioned this upon meeting him the first day.
