My wife and I stayed here for two nights when we were seeing DC. I'll sum it up as it gets the job done as a place to sleep. But otherwise, by far wasn't my favorite hotel.

Some negative aspects:
- The hotel, including the rooms overall, are incredibly small. It's obvious that the building is older (although well maintained), so the space that modern hotels are afforded is simply not there.

- LACK OF PARKING. Yes, I know this is in a busy capital city, but still the closest parking we could find (that wasn't spotty street parking) cost us $45 for overnight and a few extra hours.

- Staff wasn't on top of restaurant hours. Website said one thing, when I called the front desk they said another thing, but when we got to the restaurant (expecting over an hour until closing time), they were no longer serving food. Really screwed up our first night dinner plans.

Some positives:
- While small, rooms were very clean

- Good heating/cooling system

- Relatively speaking, a pretty good deal compared to many other hotels

- Gorgeous, historic neighborhood.

Overall, given the choice, I would shop around if staying in DC again... but wouldn't rule out staying there depending on the circumstances.

2 good experience, and good reference for those how want chip but not bad hotel. Bar , food and beer was every time a good choice. Don’t forget to make reservation before your plane go done. I recommend those without big pockets.

This hotel is inexpensive, has free wi-fi and is in a good location, but service is rather desultory and above all be aware that it is also a venue for live comedy and music which means that is you are in a room above, any chance of sleep before midnight on club nights is out of the question. Definitely not for families.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms directly above the venue on the ground floor.

these guys literally kicked my wife out of this hotel, halfway through a big conference that she is presenting in. saying there is maintenance issues with the room. but here's the kicker. they have 5 rooms you can book for this very day, yet she's being kicked out. now I would have given them an ok review, because they did organise and send her to another hotel ( that was a cheaper and lower quality hotel), except for the fact, that THEY HAVE 5 OTHER ROOMS AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW!!!!

this hotel is in a great location and easy to get to the metro and to and from the airport. i did everything with a car and i like to walk. the room was very small and the mattress was terrible. it would have been tough to sleep on for more than one night. the staff was friendly. there is a bar in the basement and it's open late so ask for a room away from the bar.
