Lovely location at the peak of the island.
Food was well presented and tasty, but definitely over-priced for the vegetarian options. Awesome that vegans are catered for, but we were all missing the vegan menu insert.
The wine matches for each meal were very good.

Desserts were Kiwi with a twist - ANZAC biscuit sandwich and raspberry infused pavlova. The vegan chocolate cheesecake was delicious.

Staff were friendly and earnest but inexperienced and a little too casual.

On a recent trip to New Zealand’s North Island we took a wine tour on Waiheke Island.

After a few tasting of the delicious local wines we stopped at Batch Winery for lunch.

The food, along with the perfectly matched wines, was fantastic.

The waitress was very friendly and helpful.

Definitely worth a visit!

There was no sunset to watch as it was overcast but the view across to Auckland though it was grey was good. The garden area was well kept. We sat on the decking area to get a bit of breeze.
We shared a farmhouse platter to begin which had good variety. I was forced to choose the salmon to follow as all the other dishes contained onion and there was no flexibility in the cooking. The portions were large enough to stop us all indulging in a desert. We each chose a glass of the winery's own wine and all three wines were given a thumb's up though only one of us voted their choice as memorable,
Wineries price their food too high in my opinion. The view helped to justify the bill but don't go there expecting cheap eats or lower end of mid-range.

This was a delightful little find, and although we didn’t have a chance to try any of the food, I would highly recommend stopping by even to enjoy the spectacular view.
The bottle of light rosé was delicious and the sliders that we saw delivered to another table has me keen to visit again soon. Service was smart and the courtesy bus back to the ferry terminal was very efficient (we were cutting it fine). I can’t wait to visit again for a longer visit.

PS: Do not cross the airstrip from Peacock Sky to get to this place. It’s a big no no we’ve been told 

So disappointed to find the food here just really poor value for money. Views are stunning, decor lovely, but a very poor dining experience. The property not well maintained very well either with weeds everywhere, it would have been nice to see them growing some of their menu ingredients.
