Spice Cafe & Wine Bar
Price range: US$8 - US$21
Description: Our point of difference is our Coffee! We use organic beans and organic milk! Beautiful Chiasso coffee! We serve a variety of café food such as muffins, scones, quiches, sandwiches, wraps. But the difference is that most of our products are organic! Our quiches, wraps and most of our cakes are Gluten Free and we often use other sweeteners such as coconut sugar, rice syrup, honey or agave instead of cane sugar! We also make excellent buckwheat crepes, totally Gluten Free, Sweet crepes and Waffles. Our smoothies are mostly dairy free, organic and full of goodness. We also have a selection of fresh cold press juices according to the organic fruits and veggies in stock! We work with local suppliers when possible and a lot of our clientele is local so a real Waihekian experience! We provide Free WIFI but hope that you will talk to your neighbour instead!

This little place is well hidden off the Main Street but look closely for steps leading down past the Four Square Supermarket. We called in for lunch delicious cider helped us consume a mound of Nachos topped with spicey chilli, cheese, salsa, jalapeño s it was amazing and onlookers must have thought so to as 2 nearby tables ordered them as well

We often used to go this cafe (under another name) when visiting Waiheke. It now has new owners, and it seems to be a vegan style cafe. Food was certainly not to our liking and we will not be going back there.

We serve Eggs and bacon, we even have a Galette with bacon, banana and maple syrup! If you don't like this, I think you might be a Vegan in disguise!
Plus we offer Croque Monsieur, a famous French toastie with ham, béchamel and cheese...
We catter for the Celiac with our amazing Gluten Free quiches and Home made Gluten Free Wraps. Yes, some of our dishes can be called Vegan as they have no animal products. But is that bad, really?
Plus we make a terrific Golden Latte, a warm and healthy drink made with turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, pepper and honey which has become a favourite amongst many locals! So please be gentle with your comments as there is a great team behind this new establishment who cares...

Now totally different. I haven't continued to use as my local. Miss Spice and the great food and coffee.

Went for lunch several times. Good food and great coffee.
Eftpos machine did not work both times and all customers had to either pay cash or go off to the money machine. Did not go back for a third time!
