I can't think of anything else I've seen that's quite like this. Stunning view, especially on a clear day!

OK showing my age but last time i was here (3 decades ago) it was all about discovering the tunnels! Nice drive to get there and beautiful but we wanted tunnels

Visited early morning, nice walk, fantastic views. It is a shame that the tunnels are closed and it looks to be a permanent decision. There is a little bit of history but it's mainly all about the rocks appearing after a volcano many years ago. Enjoy.....

We stopped here not knowing what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. A nice little hike in with great views with the quintessential NZ sheep and pasture lands plus amazing views of the coast and bays and some very interesting huge boulders. Then to top it off, you can walk around the remains of the Gun emplacements and fortifications from WWII. The Tunnels are closed but still worth the hike out.

A great place to stop for a walk on the loop. We enjoyed the relaxing walk; clmbed to the top of hill to view the Man O'War bay.
