We also purchased some a jar of fantastic tamarind chutney which I goes well with aged cheddar - my personal preference, or as an accompaniment.

My wife and I visited during a recent trip to Waiheke Island. This company started when the local wineries found they could grow olives around 15-20 years ago. The oils have won many international medals. They let you see the equipment and show you the entire process. You also can try 7-8 different oils and other products. The property is also gorgeous, but so is most of Waiheke.
If you want beautiful olive oils, lovely tapenades, magnificent honey, then this is the place for you. The quality of everything speaks for itself, and the staff are ever so helpful, and just heap on the information about all the produce. We all loved it.
We visited the Rangihoua Estate as part of a private tour of the island. The staff were lovely and were very knowledgable about the oil making process. They were also obviously very proud of their produce. We tasted 3 different oils during our visit and each were very different with distinct noses and flavours. We were also lucky enough to try some of their herb blend. Looking forward to making some delicious bruschetta with this!
Rangihouha Estate surrounded by tall thick trees is a calm and quiet place. Right across the small sit out are the olive orchards. The oil press is in the shed and the shop offers a few varieties of olive oil. One can taste them and decide which one to pick up. They're all great. While there, pick up a herb spread or two and some wonderful manuka honey too. It's expensive but really good.
We were here on vacation last year and bought some of their olive oils. Had to come back again to replenish our stash. Great friendly helpful staff at the tastings.
