Bagged the four leather armchairs downstairs by the fire and settled in for a Sunday session. Such an awesome vibe with yummy food and great cocktails.

Sitting outside on a nice day must be fantastic. Surrounded by their vineyard and a nice garden, or more a little park, as there is a little walkway around. Really nice, being in nature. They have bees as well there.
While sitting inside, as it was a rainy day, is not that special. The atmosphere is more like a bit in a fancy hotel. Nothing wrong with that, its about your individual taste. The Table setting was not adequate for a fine dining experience. Not even ready set up on arrival.
The food was good, service also.
We come back in summer, when you can relax outside.

When we got on the taxi at the ferry and asked to head to Tantalus, the driver told us we were going to the best place on the island - best food, best service, best building, best vineyard, and Tantalus didn't disappoint! The food was incredible (the fries are amazing!) and the waitress we had, Suzanne, was really lovely and knowledgable. After lunch we spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing in the sun right next to the incredible vineyard. Great day all round. We also popped our heads into Alibi downstairs - will need to come back and do a beer tasting soon! Thanks guys!

We caught the hop on hop off bus and arrived at Tantalus. My daughter and I met a solo traveller who was visiting from Japan. We booked a table in the restaurant and all ate a great meal. The venue is wonderful with a view of the vineyard. Of course we had to drink more of the delightful wine produced by this estate. All of the staff were helpful and guided our choices..
