We stayed here for 2 nights as part of walking the Queen Charlotte Sound Track. Our unit for 2 adults and 2 children, was clean and tidy, with comfortable beds, a good shower and our own deck (lovely views!) The staff were friendly and helpful. Meals were good however there is a limited selection on the menu (though this is not surprising as the Portage is a reasonably remote location). We really appreciated the shuttle service back to the track in the morning and the advice regarding how long the last day of the walk would take (we didn't want to miss the boat back to Picton!)
We hired kayaks from a place next door and enjoyed getting out on the water.
This was a very pleasant place to stay though wouldn't think of it as a "resort".More
