We have been staying at the hostel for about 3 weeks as woofers and it's been great! There is definitely a homey feel and everyone is very friendly and welcoming. And everything is very clean. Makes us want to stay longer! The soup and chocolate pudding every night and breakfast every day are great too! For sure a time and money saver for travelers! The hot tub is a great way to relax after a long day!

I stayed with my friend Karni at this beautiful lodge on our way from Christchurch to Wellington. We stayed for only one night as we came by Ferry and next morning left for Wellington. I in also in hospitality industry and being a tour guide I can tell you this place is remarkable. Totally value for money and host Graham is a welcoming person. I had a chat with him and he always ready to help you. They provide Ice cream, pudding complimentary. Pick and drop from Ferry is free too. What more can you ask for just 34 NZD a night ! I will definitely go back and stay longer as there must more to see in Picton. Thanks Graham for being a wonderful host.
Bit of improvement: WIFI needs to be more effective.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming, and always made sure we were satisfied and had enough to eat (free breakfast, free dinner and free dessert). The hot tub was lovely on a cold winters evening. There was a free shuttle service taking us to the ferry, however the walk into the centre isn't too long either! Wifi doesn't work in rooms, but there are many different communal areas to sit and relax in.

Stayed here with my mum and was over the moon to have been offered a complimentary upgrade to a private double room! Nick and Graeme were awesome, the complimentary hot soup and pudding was perfect for the cold winter night, and the free continental breakfast was an excellent way to start our day. Could not fault a thing but should note that future travellers may want to enquire about parking as the space seemed rather restricted and may not be ideal in the busier periods like summer. Would still stay again and recommend to other travellers.
