Yeah well the place needs a heap of work... the beds were from a bygone era including linen... actually there wasn't any linen just crusty old motheaten blankets.. everything just looked like it had been cleaned but had no 'love' for decades.. a coat of paint would help I guess but it really needs some life in there...
theres a spa and a fire and there were some great travelers there though I never really saw any staff and just felt like this place was for really old people or something.
Internet cut out every 5 mins... Very difficult to check out at 8am... weird vibe.

Room tip: not enough space in dorms. try get a dorm with less occupants so no towels drip on your pillow and space to stash your bag...

The building is quInt but in very poor repair. My room was next to the toilets, the kitchen and the back door so it was very noisy.
The staff were wonderful and always helpful.
A lot of work is needed to bring this back to what it should be.
Most of the laundry facilities were not working or in constant use by the staff.
Wi fi was very temperamental.

Room tip: Room 13 is very noisy.

A quick overnight stop, so didn't need much. Staff were all helpful and friendly, however The Villa's heyday may have passed... towels and sheets getting pretty thin and the bed cover in our room visibly dirty. Bathrooms were clean and water was hot though.

This place is great. It's quiet but social. Old but charming.

Hot showers, ok beds, great staff. Cheap.

Nice to chill in the garden and look at the stars with a bottle of wine in tow.

Great location though Picton is tiny anyway ☺

Nothing wrong with this pittoresque hostel. Light rooms, oké beds and lot's of possibility 's and extra's for the guests. A special atmosphere due to the lighted garden and grapes. Perfect to stay a night or 2.
