In addition, to the views and the dolphins, the boat ride was a memorable experience. The owner Paul also recommended other great activities in the region.

We went out on this trip today in overcast weather, towards Cook strait via the Tory channel. This is an amazing trip with a skipper who is very passionate about conservation and his first mate who made passengers comfortable and looked after the periphery of the boat.

The commentary was knowledgeable and the video at the whaling station was excellent. It was a good day to go, alas no whales were sighted (one maybe but too hard to tell): for all that it was an excellent morning out and the competency of the skipper and crew is to be commended, thank you so much:

Thanks for the positive feedback. The Whaling Station experience is unique in New Zeland and being able to see Marlborough Whaling history up close is a great experience. Hunters to Conservationists is the Key message, now we celebrate an increase of 10% per annum with our migrating Humpbacks, thanks again

What a fantastic 1/2 day tour with both Kath as our guide and Captain Andy as the skipper. Their combined knowledge made the trip interesting and informative. The highlight was being surrounded by a pod of approx 80 dolphins bow riding the boat for at least 20 mins. We also toured a local bird sanctuary island which provided breathtaking views from the top. Kath’s knowledge of the local wildlife and history was captivating and the journey home was capped off with a glass of wine each and green lipped mussels. Highly recommended
