Great tour run by knowledgable, friendly staff on a modern, clean boat. 68 NZ dollars for a 2 hour trip. First a 1 hour guided walk around the Kaipupu reserve, where we saw lots of native birds then a trip around the harbour to see more birds, fish and fur seals. Wonderful!

Just returned from an excellent cruise to Motuara Island. Beautiful weather made for a great day out but the dolphins - bottle nose and Hector's - and the bird life made for an exceptional day. Our skipper and our guide were both first class and the hot drinks, biscuits and wine broke up the return journey and brought us back to Picton a very contented and happy group.

Today was a beautiful sunny day which was enhanced by seeing dolphins on both legs of the journey to Motuara Island and NZ birds on the sea and the island. Both our skipper and our guide were highly professional. We arrived back in Picton a very happy party not only for the wildlife we had seen but also for the biscuits hot drinks and wine served on the return journey.

Went there for the swim with dolphins tour.
After receiving instructions we were out in the sea exploring the wildlife.
Saw a few Hector dolphins playing around our boat as well as fur seals and shags- a great experience!!
Unfortunately we did not find any common or bottlenose dolphins so no splash with the dolphins.. but would do the tour again!
PS: if you cannot swim with the dolphins the difference to the watch only tour will be refounded.

I had a great time talking to captain Andy and photographer Rob while our guide Tanja searched the waters for Dolphins with her top notch binoculars. We found our first Dolphins in a bay and lucky for us, they were very keen to interact with us. The 'little white torpedos' swam under the boat and came really close. They even did some acrobatics and jumps! Tanja could not stop filming (Quote: "You know something is good when even the guide takes out her camera!")

The team of E-ko tours knows this area really well and are passionate about what they do. I liked it so much that I booked another tour (Wildlife Tour) with them the same day! Needles to say I would definitely recommend this company.
