We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Rixwell Centra hotel. We arrived at the hotel following getting a taxi from the airport (12 euros) First impressions was that it was a lovely clean and modern hotel.

We arrived early so unfortunately the room was not ready, however we were able to store our bags. Check in was very easy and quick. The receptionist very friendly. We were lucky enough to get a room upgrade to a suite on the 6th floor. The room was perfect. Very spacious and modern.

Tea and coffee making facilities were available and replenished daily. There was a mini bar in the room which offered very reasonably priced drinks. The bathroom was of a good size with lovely under floor heating. Free toiletries were available. There is a hairdryer, although not that powerful.

The views overlooking the city were great. Yes, the rooms were slightly noisy at night but this is what you get when you stay in a city. Ear plugs are available if needed. We never had trouble sleeping at night, maybe the lower rooms are noisier?? Our only slight complaint was that the room was so very hot. we did open the windows which made it more bearable but if you were a light sleeper then you may get disruption from the street.

Breakfast was perfect. How anyone moans I really don't know. There was a selection of hot and cold food. What more do you want. There was even sparking wine to have if you wanted.

Location is perfect, near all the sights and close by to restaurants and bars.

For the money this is a perfect hotel. I would recommend anyone to stay here.

The hotel is centrally located in the oldtown. Inside it is very quiet. We checked in spontaneously and were offered to stay in a suite for the price of a double room. The suite was spotless clean, big and comfortable. The huge bed had a very good firm mattress. Breakfast was also good and staff was very friendly.

I stayed here for a week.

GOOD
- quirky rooms. Great decor.
- stunning, deep bath. First hotel I could have a proper bath in
- good hot shower with decent water flow
- the bed was firm and I didn’t normally like that, but had great sleep
- very central. Everything no more than 5 mins away
- helpful, happy reception staff
- BRILLIANT WIFI!!!!!!!!

OK
- breakfast was nothing to rave about. But it’s included free. So yeah
- coffee - avoid it.

BAD
- I have nothing bad to say about the room.

A few previously bad reviews from people with under 10 reviews. These are the entitled minority. Ignore their reviews. This hotel is bang on the money for price, convenience and location.

The nightclub did not bother me at all and I shared a room. It was hardly noticeable.

If you stay in a central location, that is why talk to the pubs, clubs and attractions, there is going to be noise.

What a quiet room, go to the country and get a bed and breakfast. Sheesh!!!
