A really nice stay at this lovely hotel. Rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean and service is excellent. Quiet rooms and good beds ensure a good night's sleep. The location is good for seeing the old town and all major sights. The breakfast is really good, a great way to start the day with quality food.

We were there for a chamber dinner, and one of my intentions fpr coming is I know theh always orag nise exquisite food - either by its look on the plate, but also for its taste. NEVER a disappointment in the 20 + years I have been client. This, was no exception - chicken breast w vegetables, a Tarte w berries for dessert, coffee for those wanting and beer or wine to the main course. I had a Primitivo Manduria, the only thing not to my liking - seems I prefer them from Pughlia. The tarte was perfect in chrunchiness and taste, the combination of tastes theirin - a master piece. It bore all the hallmarks of the good cooking Grand Palace delivers! Add then the staff attending, we could not be handled better THANK You Hotel Management & staff P..s Your salad I nearly forgot The fruitiness of it, the freshness, if I had been a rabbit I could have sufficed with just that

Room tip: Those that wish smoke can do so without a problem. You can always get a late meal in G P provided you ask kindly!:) Great French Fries!

This hotel was really good and especially breakfast, it was excellent so you need to have time to eat and have a drink if you wish. Room was spacious and good. Only minus and big one was that smoking was allowed in the bar. Situation was good close to cathedral.

Just got back home from Riga and this incredible hotel. Room was spacious and comfortable. Staff was superfriendly and breakfast was amazing. Hotel was just a step from the Riga Dome, so everything was near, but it was still in a quiet spot. One of the best Hotels I have ever been, and I travel a lot.

The hotel is located in a superb location and within minutes walk of some of the main sights of the Old Town. The room was spacious and well appointed and represented great value for money. Outstanding front desk service from Evelina and also Kristina who came up with some great recommendations for coffee destinations. In fact all the front desk personnel were great. Would definitely return if we find ourselves re-visiting Riga at any stage.

Last December I had a chance to visit the Grand Palace Hotel Riga. As soon as I stepped foot into the lobby I saw a terrible line of people awaiting the woman in front office to finish a phone call...
But it got worse when the line finally disappeared and it was my turn to check in, the front office lady told me that I didn't have the reservation in a rude tone of voice. I told her I had the reservation, but, apparently, it took her 15 minutes to find the reservation, and she didn't apologise.
When she managed to find the reservation she said the room was still being cleaned, in 20:30...
No tea or coffee was offered during my presence in the lobby.
But the cherry on top of my awful experience, all my requests were met with eye rolls and sighs.

But the room and restaurant were having a decent quality and, overall, made the experience better.

Room tip: Make sure there is no line in the lobby, otherwise, run
