Walking around Old Town Riga and came across this ghost statue in an alcove near the Swedish Gate. Could only find a sign about it being part of a public art program, but not an explanation of the piece itself. It does remind you of all the soldiers that passed through this gate and others that walked the city over the centuries.

Located between the Swedish Gate and the Latvian War Museum, The Ghost is a recent addition to Riga's monuments, having been unveiled in 2015. So, it has no history and its interest is only in it being a work of art.

Located next to the Swedish Gate, this was an interesting sculpture and reminded me a bit of the sculptures they had on Toompea Hill near the Neitsitorn Museum, Tallinn.
