We booked 4 nights based on a reasonable price and being near the city center in Bratislava. It turned out to be a well maintained older hotel in a quiet residential area. The room was comfortable. The air conditioning developed a problem and we were moved immediately to a better room so no complaint there. Breakfast was included and provided a wide choice of foods; everything that we tried was excellent. We had dinner one evening in the hotel. My wife had a pork dish and I had venison (fallow deer) and both were delicious. We bought 3-day Bratislava cards and rode around on the buses and trams as well as visiting museums. The city has an attractive old district and most people know enough English to be able to help. The castle on the hill overlooking the city has been extensively restored and has a 360 view all around. We are from Pittsburgh and it was altogether very relaxing. Highly recommended.

We have stayed here several times before and it's high standard was maintained. The restaurant really is of high quality with very reasonable prices. It should be noted that there are stairs to climb to access the restaurant as it is on a floor not served by the lifts. There is parking outside the hotel.

We travelled in a group of four adults and were very pleased with this hotel. We were on the fifth floor and the rooms were spacious, in fact one of the biggest bathrooms we’ve every had. Towels were changed daily, bed linen regularly changed and room staff were good, we had a fridge which was stocked daily with beer and soft drinks. I think this was for executive rooms and above.
The hotel is a fifteen minute walk from the old town. On it’s door step are bars, restaurants and shops. We used Captain Morgan’s as our ‘local’ which was very inexpensive, 1.40 euros for a pint and less for a glass of red or white wine. There is also a very good wine bar just outside the hotel which we used frequently. Italian restaurants and a great Burger restaurant are also on the door steps. The hotel itself has a nice restaurant where we had dinner, it wasn’t busy so attention from the waiter was first class. Breakfast is buffet style and plenty of choice.
Staff are very nice, but many of them do not speak much English, but then again most spoke more English than we spoke Slovakian!
We didn’t use any of the hotels facilities in terms of sauna or salt room so can’t comment on what these were like, one of our party had a massage and said it was very good and reasonably priced.
The hotel is in an up and coming area and with all the building going on close by it’ll be a different place in five years time.
The main bus station is 5minutes away and a return trip to Vienna which takes 75 minutes cost 8 euros which is remarkable.

We had room 501 which was spacious, well appointed and conveniently close to lift. The staff were very helpful and friendly and breakfast was all you could hope for. The only drawback is the location which is well outside the centre. The excellent bus service (route 50) really helped however.

Room Tip: Our room on fifth floor was excellent
