The well done revitalization project on the bank of Danube, holistic architecture : steel, glass, concrete, the real whale ! Old industrial/store buildings have been changed into the cultural/entertainment/shopping center. The marvellous center view from the cruise in the Danube. Though the shopping is limited there, there are restaurants, pubs, terassas, Nehru Park nearby, very pleasant place to drink a coctail with a friend straight on the Danube bank. This place is full mostly on weekends or during special events. Near there is a Ludwig Museum, museum of modern arts and is worth visiting too.

Just a stone’s throw from the Great Market Hall, this place offers a 180-degree turn of atmosphere. A nice building, a great location but the building was less than a third occupied. The few art, clothes, antiquitities and furniture shop made for a pleasant albeit short stroll though

We went to Balna for the architecture but also for the shoppping mall that is inside.
It was supposed to open at 10.00am but even at 11.00am there was no or very little life in this place, no activity at all.
A few shops were open but the majority was closed. On the basement floor there are vintage design shops for decoration lovers that are very interesting but nothing more.
The architecture is very nice but on the whole the place is not alive and you really feel that it is not reached its full dimension yet.
I do not know if we went there on abad day or if it is more alive during summer time, but this is definitely not a must do on my list as it is.

Read there was a Christmas market round this building so we decided to visit! Went rather early so the stalls on the outside were still closed but they do have a little ice rink here! We walked inside the building but a lot of the shops were still closed with a few open and a few bars! Nice new place the building is lovely but maybe in a years time it will be more lively :)

This supposed to be a shopping destination, but once we arrived we found that pretty much most of the shopping mall shops were non existent, a couple shops on the first floor and a restaurant and the almost the whole upper floor was shops free. The building itself was very attractive and it had a very modern taste to it.
