The location of the loft is fine.
The fact that the builiding is located in front of a bus stop is excellent.
Buses can take you quickly to the main interest points of the city.
This is a huge benefit for those who like to take the public transport.
The loft is spacious and corresponds 100% with what can be seen on the picture.
The welcome by Philippe was very sincere and provided us with most of the information we needed.
But hey, nothing is perfect so: what can be improved?
Since the loft is located in a beautiful old building
1. there is the heat. The weather conditions were extremely hot during our stay ( August 6th-9th, 2018) and the temperature in the bedrooms was more than warm.
In every room an electric fan was provided. It can help to cool down a litlle but a loft under the rooftop keeps a lot of heat in the room.
In these extreme weather conditions an airco would have been welcome.
2. a clogged ssower drain: the draining of the water of the shower goes really slow. This inconvenience was mentioned by Philippe during the handing over of the key.
If you like a beautifully decorated, spacious loft in an old building with a lof of character in a place close to the public transport this is an excellent choice.
Good location, close to tram line 4 & 6 and few bus station. Very convenient to get around Budapest city.
Nice decor apartment perfectly fit for family or group. Comfortable bed, and quiet neighborhood!
ARTY LOFT was clean, centrally located, and nicely decorated. It was very comfortable atmosphere. Phillipe was very attentive to our needs and questions on-line. The owner was also quite pleasant to work with.
We would definitely stay there again.
Central location with extremely easy access to public transportation. Comfortable living spaces with room to spread out. Old world charm meets modern updates, we especially enjoyed the generous living room and kitchen. Jonathan met us on arrival, showed us around the loft and gave us some great recommendations for local eateries. Our departing flights were late in the day and Jonathan was very accommodating, allowing us to store our bags after checking out. Thank you for an enjoyable stay!
This is a really interesting flat, full of unconventional details and great character. We quite enjoyed our stay here, the space is enormous for two people, and well-supplied with kitchen appliances and comfortable furniture.
That said the flat's atmosphere was more of an art studio or hipster creative installation rather than a living space. I would recommend this place to young travellers, either couples or groups, but not to families with children, as there are many valuable-looking decorations kids could cause damage to.
The flat is also at an excellent location, close to major transport lines. The only downside of our stay was that the shower, while stylish, was really impractical - due to the lack of any shower tray or separation between the shower and the rest of the bathroom, you can't shower in a way that doesn't flood the whole bathroom. Also the shower head holder was prone to coming out of the brick wall.
Aside of this it was a great experience.
After my stay I was hesitating between 4 and 5 stars, but then got a message from the owner asking that I either leave a 5 star review, or not leave any review at all. This outright request to manipulate my review left such a bitter impression on me that I put off leaving a review for 3-4 months. Recently I noticed that TripAdvisor reminded me to review my stay, so here it is.
