There are several thermal baths, saunas and the outdoor pools. Sometimes is very full so is difficult to be in silent but the instalations are really good! Worth visiting!

We disregarded the negative reviews and gave it a go...BAD DECISION. For ~20 eur/pers you get horrible pee smells, dirty water with all sorts of things floating around, broken faucets, rusty handles, super old lockers and cabins. I swear this place is stuck in the 50s at least. I do hope the water properties can kill bacteria because I seriously doubt the cleaning there. Such a shame it is advertised as a "must do". These guys need to keep up with this century's European standards.

The best thermal bath visit time is early spring or autumn. Summer evenings/nights spent in Szechenyi bath are recommendable for young. The fee is higher (similar Gellert) without senior discount, but the area and possibilities are the best in B. Saunas of various temperatures, many water basins inside (33-42C), steam rooms, many showers and cloakrooms (cabins or lockers). Good buffets, warm or cold refreshement + coctails. Outside thermal baths plus sunny teraces are great, the large swimming pool is the good opportunity to train body, too. Necessary to tell that this place is full of turists, also only visit tours are organized. The local people prefer to use smaller thermal spas in B. with the same/ maybe better therapeutic effect. But this place and its architecture is really remarkable and it should be visited being in B. Transport is easy, metro stop is near, Square of Heroes, zoo, the park around, picnic place of Budapest.

I have to point out that it is better to really plan your trip according to the bath's parties. Unfortunately I didn't go on a Saturday and that was when the partes happened. We visited the baths during the day though. Unique experience and very funny. Huge variety of different baths, awesome

I recommend booking a cabin so you get some personal space and good service. The baths are clean, although busy, you still get an amazing experience and can spend all day there.
