One of the best places in the city. The view is amazing and there are so many beautiful spots to enjoy. It would have been nice if there were certain restaurants or coffee places during the winter months, to enjoy a warm drink.

We've been to all three of the viewing spots on the Buda side. This one has the added advantage of being a former fortress and also having statues and other interesting items around.

It tok us good 20 minutę to get to the top by foot, and we Piaf with sweat as the day was hit and humid, but the view was worth it. You can go there by car, but it would not be the same. Start at the White bridge in front of the Gellert Hill, there is this beautiful waterfall (rather small, but still gives you a nice breeze). Then you enter kind of a forest/park and you keep going up. See the statue, and admirał the view. Have some water. And go back! The bad part relates to the park itself - there is plenty of trasy everywhere. Otherwise, if you have a spare 2 hours, go for it!

The view from the view point near the citadel was probably one of the best you can find in Budapest .
