Excellent position.

We didn’t realise that the hotel was in a pedestrian zone. We had travelled a long way and had booked parking for €20. This turned out to be a few roadside roped off spaces. Two were occupied with a space and a fourth car. The space was too small for our car. It took several phone calls and a rather fraught time to eventually be directed to a public car park not far away. The promised parking was not charged. Staff tried hard to help us but it should be clear that only 3 spaces are available when booking. Staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful. We decided to upgrade as the basic double room had no windows and is small. It cost a further €80 to upgrade. The deluxe room had a river view and was spacious with comfortable beds. Despite the double glazing noise could be heard from the busy outside area but this stopped around 11pm. We would have much preferred to have had a shower than a bath and a hand held shower but all the rooms seem to have baths. Pleasant toiletries are an available, although there is nowhere to put soap except on the black ledge beneath the basin. The plug couldn’t be opened so we had to leave water in the bath. Reception apologised and will see it is repaired. The aircon was very difficult to work out, as was turning on the bedside light: easy once mastered but maybe a few instructions would help.
The minibar was well stocked but expensive as most hotels are.
I do wonder if it was quite worth the €80? Maybe it is for the extra space and view?
One negative was on arriving after a long journey we stepped out of the lift (cracked floor) and were greeted by a trolley with untidy sheets and toiletries, obviously used by cleaning staff. For a four star hotel should this happen late in the afternoon?
There is much to commend this hotel and only a few niggles. It’s position couldn’t be better for town centre activities.

Room Tip: Maybe rooms at the back to avoid evening noise?

We were worried about taking a room at the front of the hotel in case of noise so decided to book the ordinary room. When we arrived they upgraded us free of charge to a room at the front. It was great. The sound proofing of the windows was fantastic but when we did open them the noise from the street was great. We've stayed in hotels in most capital cities in Europe and this was one of the best if not the best. Really nice freshly prepared a la carte breakfast, really good friendly service. We really enjoyed Ljubljana and hope to get back and stay in this hotel again.

I spent 4 nights at the hotel. It is in an excellent location, beside the Cobblers Bridge and in walking distance to all attractions. The area around it, has lots of restaurants and cafes and it felt very safe, even walking home at nighttime.

I had booked an ‘internal room’, and it was explained to me when I booked it and when I checked in that it didn’t have a window. Originally I was concerned about this but it really wasn’t an issue at all. The room was well designed, even though it was small. The bathroom was a very good size, with a powerful shower. There was no safe in the room, I would have liked a coffee maker or kettle due to the length of my stay and I wasn’t given a complementary bottle of water, which I think most hotels provide. These are just minor suggestions though as overall I really enjoyed my stay.
I did get some assistance from reception, requested a sheet as found the duvet too heavy and getting the airport shuttle booked (to and from the airport). On all occasions, everyone was extremely helpful and provided great service.
I had a great visit to Ljubljana, my first to the city and country. While I saw a lot, I do hope to return again soon and I would certainly stay at this hotel again.

Room tip: The shuttle €12 each way, is a good way to get to and from the airport. However, times returning were limited.

The hotel is situated right on the river and is right next to all the restaurants and bars, all within walking distance. We had a castle view room which was pretty cool and the room itself was well equipped and very modern. The hotel was very clean and the restaurant (with cosy burning fire pit) was super chilled and had plenty to offer.

I was really impressed with the breakfast that was included in our booking, with plenty of choice and cooked very well.

The staff are all really happy and helpful and they made our stay feel even more welcoming.

We would definitely recommend staying here.

Room tip: The hotel is in the pedestrian zone by the river but taxi drop off is a 5 minute walk.

We chose The Hotel’ s restaurant for our dinner. The restaurant has very nice and cosy atmosphere with fireplace .Perfect for meeting friends on a cold winter evening. Before we ordered the food we told to our waiter that we have time limit. Food was tasty, ambient was very nice but the waiter is responsible for my bad rate. He cheated us. We gave him 500 eur to pay our bill and his tip..But he didn’ t gave us the exact exchange. He decided to take our tip + cca 40 eur hoping that we will not notice this. This was probably a reason that he was so slow bringing our coats knowing that we are in a hurry and we will not count the money. But we actually did a few minutes later we just didn’ t go back to discuss with him. So the restaurant would be worth visiting if they change this waiter which behavior is not on the level that should be..

Lovely boutique hotel, well appointed, as its a new hotel, there were a few teething problems that were dealt with immediately. The inside rooms are cosy, luxurious with all amenities required for a city break.

The breakfast al a carte for 15 euros was impeccable value for money and a highlight of the stay.
