We went for our business trip to Ljubliana and stayed at this hotel. Everyone of us had a different, very unique room. The bed was big and comfortable and breakfast to our satisfaction. The hotel team was very kind and attentive, they made sure we had everything we needed.
I was a little nervous about this hotel after reading some of the reviews. We were in Ljubliana for our honeymoon so it was important that things went well. I have to say we were delighted with our room - a huge suite on the ground floor with massive rooms. Lovely bathroom and the shower worked well. We had robes and decent towels. Tea & coffee making facilities, a tiny kitchen even! The hotel appeared to only have one member of staff on at any given time which just seemed slightly odd to me, but all the staff we encountered were lovely and so helpful. Breakfast was fine but a little sparse. The location of the hotel is amazing - right in the heart of the old town and university quarter, and very close to the river and all the restaurants and bars. We did have a car and it was ridiculously expensive to park for 2 days but it was really convenient so we didn't quibble. I had been told of the charge in advance so it didn't come as a shock. Would we stay again...probably, if we could guarantee the lovely big suite again!
Beautiful historic hotel in the heart of the town. Had a room on the ground floor which was spacious. Slightly tricky to move around the bed as the tv was in the way on the wall. Excellent shower, lovely breakfast, attentive service. But, on leaving I discovered the charge of €35 to park in a reserved space on the street nearby. I felt this was way to much. The cost was discounted to €25 when I showed my shock. Still excessive in my view. Spoilt what was otherwise a lovely place. Be aware if you are travelling with a car.
Enormous rooms, extremely comfortable beds and warm comfy duvet. Hot strong shower- new towels a bit challenging to get dry with but not a significant problem. Amazing central location and friendly, helpful staff. Our second visit.
I see on TripAdvisor that this hotel is now closed until April. I hope it is closed for renovations. It is very tired and threadbare. My towels literally had holes in them. It was not particularly clean (cobwebs in chandelier, spare pillow in closet was too filthy to use). Since I was traveling from the US I didn't bring a lot of liquids with me, assuming there would be body lotion in the room. No. The breakfast was very sparse. The people, however, were very nice. And when I asked for something they immediately provided it. The location is fantastic, so I hope that they renovate!
