We arrived here at midnight so collected our key from a bar on the corner of a square. Walked into the main door and the corridor was like an alley, up the staircase and into door which said hostel, at which point I thought what have we booked! But panick over we had room number 2 it is decorated in keep with the area apart from the bathroom which is very modern. I loved the feel of the building with its decor. The appartment had a hairdryer which was a good one I normally take mine as they usually quiet crap. A great touch was a mini ironing board plus iron, kettle cups ect. You could get few english channels on tv so had music channel on while getting ready. There was an old fashioned radio also invthe room. I would definatly recommend staying here, bars and resteraunts are onbyour doorstep, no cleaners to dodge on mornings. Suchca laid back atmosphere. Would return without a doubt.

There is no staff at this place, it is more like renting an apartment by the day. When I met the woman to give me the key and she opened the door and I saw the first floor entry hall, my first thought was…”what have I done?” but when we got to the second floor and she opened the door to the actual apartments, I was delighted. Very cozy, simply but nicely decorated, well heated rooms, with very modern bathrooms. Very good value here for the budget traveler. And I just loved the location in the heart of the Old Jewish Quarter. Lots of good restaurants just outside the door. Easy walking distance to lots of Krakow sights.

Room Tip: Room 3 is lovely, spacious and has a view over the plaza but a weak WiFi signal. Rooms 1 and 2 are much smaller but nice. Room 2 has the best WiFi signal. (only 3 rooms)

I love this place, and have revisited several times - so much so, that it now feels like a 2nd home for me! Situated in the historic Jewish Quater of Kazimierz, it is in a quiet location. Though near to several good restaurants in Ul Szeroka, and Nowy Plac, and convenient tram stops to the centre, it isn't noisy. The building is a pre war building with its own history - imagine what it witnessed during the War and Holocaust. The rooms are very comfy, and wonderfully warm on cold nights. The owner was extremely welcoming and very helpful, particulalry when I asked if I could buy a ticket to a well known jazz concert at the time. Nothing was any trouble.Wonderful!

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent

From 19th May to 21st May I spent two nights here. Szeroka 33 is classed as a hostel but it isn't a hostel at all! That really doesn't do it justice. It's situated in the main square of the Jewish part of Krakow, close to shops, supermarket, post office, tram stops and only 10-15 minutes on foot to the centre of Krakow Old Town. Do not be put off when you arrive. The outside of the building seems grim, as does the entrance hallway, but when you get upstairs to the flat, a whole new world awaits you! The flat is made up of three separate bedrooms furnished in Polish style, each with its own modern/new bathroom. Each room has its own key, of course, and my room had tea and coffee facilities and plates if you wanted to bring something in for breakfast which isn't provided. The owner was very welcoming and, over a cup of tea which she immediately made for me, we talked about Krakow and life in Poland. She doesn't speak much English but her French is very good. I really felt that I was experiencing Krakow in a local way and not just as an ordinary tourist. I paid about 29 Euros a night for my room and found it an ideal base for my short visit to Krakow. The main reason for going there was to visit Auschwitz, which I duly did, but I also had time to visit Krakow itself and many of its important museums. Krakow is a fascinating place to visit and really is great value all round.
