During our recent trip to Kraków we dined there twice and were very pleased with everything. The service was excellent and the food tasted really good. The focus is on dishes made from duck meat but they have various Polish, Jewish and international dishes available. Appetisers and digestive were served with every meal and were delicious. The only problem is that the restaurant is rather small and so it can be difficult to get a table there without reservation, as it is popular both among the Poles and the foreign visitors. The prices are also really good, in particular when considering the location in the Old Town.

This is a very pleasant place to eat out in Krakow and to try the traditional Polish dishes. We had pierogi and soups. Everything was delitious. Prices are reasonable.

This place is justifiably busy at weekends, so you’ll need to book - and it’s worth the effort. We shared the excellent spicy duck dumplings and smoked cheese wrapped in bacon to start and two dishes between four was just right. This was followed by duck, bigos and the cabbage-wrapped meat & rice parcels. All were superb. There is a good selection of sensibly priced wines, and we rounded off the meal with a dose of Vitamin V as our host called it - or Vodka shots to you and me :-)

Highly recommended.
