Plenty of parking behind and in front of the hotel, although half of the front is for the pub there. Plenty of parking for a tail lift luton van! The rooms were clean and staff were friendly. Got a decent nights sleep on both nights I stayed. McDonald's drive through right next door and Greene King pub right opposite.
On arrival and the whole 2 day break we had no key for our door and had to ask to be let in and out of our room by receptionist. Room on top floor had in the past had a roof leak and water marks were still showing .Marks on walls , room needed repainting. Breakfast and breakfast area was very good and breakfast staff were really nice
Spent a few days here while filming locally. Huge thanks to Donna at reception for going above and beyond in her helpfulness, an asset to Premier Inn! Nice Premier Inn, quiet and comfortable. Would reccomend!
Our stay on the whole was as expected from a Premier Inn. Check in was efficient and the young lady was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and supplied us with all our needs.
However the breakfast was not as expected and not as described on the website.
I was expecting a full buffet but what we were given was a continental buffet and a cooked breakfast which we had to order.
I felt rushed and although the food was cooked OK, the beans were a bit cold as our plates had been left on the counter whilst the chef awaited the poached eggs.
The website states " thanks to our mouth watering buffet breakfast you can look forward to building your breakfast your way every morning"
This was not possible for us as it was necessary to make a decision and have the food brought to us.
Also the breakfast room is so small that when it was full, and combined with the heat from the kitchen, the area was quite uncomfortable. Fortunately after a while the girls opened the main door and it started to cool down.
The tables are so small that after the placing of the condiments, a teapot, a milk jug and mugs there is little room for the breakfast and certainly no room for my phone which I had to place on the floor under the seat!!
There was also a lack of replenished foods. The berries ran out as did the bananas and were not replenished even though there were still gusts still coming in to start breakfast!!!
All in all not the relaxing experience I was expecting, and indeed promised, and would certainly not use this Premier Inn again for that reason. Very disappointing.
Well positioned for our needs with plenty of parking, a decent place to eat and clean and tidy rooms as expected.
On the down side, the aircraft are quite frequent and low and the outside could do with a lick of paint.
