I cant say enough about this place...serene, relaxing, beautiful, blissful. If you truly need a nice getaway literally AWAY from it all, this is the place to go. It is A MILLION DOLLAR VIEW! Getting up in the morning and taking five steps into the water cant be beat. Perfect for some fishing, great local restaurants in town (must have transport which you can easily obtain at the airport), and the locals are a gem. This isn't your typical Bahamian touristy place, this is truly a local's paradise shared with people like us who feel very welcome in every local hangout.

Friday's fish fry is a must...Tippy's is the best local restaurant...and for some American food which a great bar and view try The Deck. I highly recommend you try this place, you will not regret one bit of it!!!!

“Blissfully serene setting...beautiful stylish island home!”

This is not your typical Bahamian rental home, it has a contemporary boutique feel, and was the perfect place for my friend and I to spend a long weekend away from noise of everyday life. It's located right on the water - which lapped against the rocks and lulled me to sleep each night! The house is built on two levels with wide wooden wrap around decks, complete with a hammock, sun loungers, BBQ, table & the most perfect place to view the moon and stars at night! Needless to say, we didn't spend much time indoors (but bring bug spray!)
The upper level is the main living area, with a double bedroom, bathroom, living room & fully equipped kitchen which open out onto the upper deck. The lower level has a double room, and a twin bedded room, separated by a beautiful bathroom with a walk in rain shower - with a view out onto the bay. The house set up allows 2 groups traveling together, to have plenty of personal space. I stayed downstairs and just fell in love with the view I woke to each morning, the birds singing & the sound of the sea.
I had to write this review as the previous one made it sound like a rundown outdated property, which it isn't. In the tropics, AC's take a beating and when you switch to "ISLAND TIME" you have to accept that it's not mainland America. That's why Atlantis was built, and cruise ships!
This house is a steal of a deal in terms of the experience & ambience you get! I'll post pics so you'll see what I mean!

“Needs TLC!”

This home is absolutely beautiful! It just needs some love.
We arrived Friday evening. Got up Saturday morning. The couple that we traveled with had stayed in one of the bedrooms downstairs. They said they woke up in the middle of the night wet! Obviously, whomever had stayed in this home before us, had wet the bed. The sheets were clean, but once laid upon, the wetness of the mattress penetrated through!!! I immediately emailed the owner, Stuart.
We took the two twin mattresses off of the beds in the second bedroom downstairs and put those on the queen bed. The housekeeper and her son moved the wet queen mattress to the outside deck.
We tooodled around the island on Saturday and came back to the upstairs air conditioning being off. It was over 90 degrees upstairs! I emailed the owner.
To make a long story short. We never had air conditioning. It could not be fixed. My husband and I ended up taking our mattress, from upstairs, to the bedroom downstairs. (There were two window units downstairs.)
So, this vacation just wasn't what we wanted it to be. There is not a boat for use, as stated on the website. It is parked at the home, but has not been maintained in quite some time. There is not a cover over the driveway for shade. The snorkeling equipment is old and not usable. Thank goodness we took our own! The wifi stopped working. There are water damage stains on the ceilings downstairs. The owner did refund us half our money.

Again, the home is beautiful, it just needs some TLC.

Management Response
17 Dec 2013
One of the bad things about things braking on the islands is getting them fixed. There are no home centers for major parts. I.e central air-conditioning units. when they brake we have to ship from the states. The new AC has already been installed and is functional. The boat is much the same scenario and I always explain to people when they ask about the boat, sometime it is available and sometimes it is not. I do not promise the boat unless I am confident there wont be issues.
The bed is a mystery, Know one had been to TOC in 10 days how the bed was what is beyond me. 2 brand new king-size beds on the way!!
