Our daughter and her husband stayed here earlier in the year and recommended Paco do Torre. They said it was lovely but in fact it was superb. Patricia couldn't have been more welcoming and othing was too much trouble. She looked after us perfectly while Antonio and Odette were away. We were sorry not to meet them as our email contacts for help and advice before our stay were invaluable. The whole place is spotlessly clean and everything was provided for a very comfortable stay. Our room was spacious and our bed was spacious and very comfortable. We loved the infinity pool. We enjoyed the recommended walks and drives. We had dinner on two evening and it was very good value. A great place to spend a few days to unwind and relax.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the first floor to enjoy the best views.

After finding this hotel last year we could not wait to return, it has everything, large rooms, amazing views and delicious food. This area is totally unspoilt and beautiful, an ideal place to escape the rush of daily life. The infinity pool is in a perfect position to admire the views across the valley. Everyone at Paco Da Torre
is so helpful and charming it really is ' Paradise Found '

Two friends and I were touring central Portugal, intending to spend a day sightseeing in Viseu; however, when they saw Paco Da Torre, they both announced that they weren't going anywhere for our two days! This is the most idyllic mountainside retreat, with both an infinity pool and a children's pool as well as lawns and gardens outside. Inside, the modern house offers huge rooms and bathrooms, comfortable beds, and an amazing 15 euro dinner in a dining room with views over the mountains and valleys. It was hard to believe they could provide a plentiful multi-course meal with wine for such a low price -- and the food was delicious.

My only fear was that the two lovely young women who do all the work to maintain the guest house, inside and out (including the two guard dogs Michelle and Barak), were being overworked. They were completely efficient and welcoming and uncomplaining, but the place is so large that I couldn't imagine how they could keep up with the work in a busy summer season.

Finding Paco Da Torre was a delightful surprise, and I'd return in an instant if I were going through that region of Portugal.

Room Tip: All rooms are huge and quiet, but I chose one with a view of the mountains.

This is by far the best place I stayed during my 15 day trip to Portugal, using 7 different hotels. Great breakfast, huge room, incredible ambiance. Do reserve your dinner there, 15 euros per person and it includes a bottle of wine and dessert. Very good. The swimming pool was beautiful. This is a peaceful place, perfect for a long weekend.
