Not what it appeared!

1.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 12 Feb 2019
Well, this place may have been as seen in photos a long time ago, BUT what a let down now. the grounds appeared to have been tidied up a bit for the occasion (lawns mowed) and that was the extent of the preparations for a lovely wedding! The pool apparently had been used by tourists ...must have been frogs and not the french variety. All so disappointing nothing had been cleaned inside or out. Fireplace still had ashes and unburnt wood left in fireplace and over the hearth. Stove not usable, (had to hire one) and they appear to have a cockroach infestation. A shame to see it in such a rundown state.

If you ever want a get away in paradise then all you need do is book in here!
Set in the country, this fantastic place has amazing gardens (used also a venue for weddings). A duck pond/lake that is in truely such a beautiful setting - reminded us of english countryside......
Jim and Libby are the best ever hosts and Libby's cooking is world class!!!
They are so welcomming and their menagerie of wee pets makes one feel like they have come home.
John and I had the best ever weekend away at Katoa Country Lodge, who cares if it rained for most the weekend.
The accomdation is spic and span and the home picked roses on the table were just such a beautiful touch.
Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.
We will be back.

Room tip: Hideaway cottage is so adorable...... you must view :)
