A beautiful lodge set amongst amazing gardens. Fantastic hosts.

There is nothing we could fault about our three night stay. Jon helped with restaurant bookings, was our private chauffeur in his dashing white Porche and he and Shirley made every aspect of our stay a delight. Shirley excelled with scrumptious breakfasts. They are both friendly but not intrusive hosts.
I would recommend this wonderful lodge without hesitation.
A very special highlight was Holly the Golden Retriever. She has customer service off pat ( excuse the pun)

Room Tip: There are two rooms. we had the downstairs one and did not see the larger upstairs room

We loved this beautiful place! The home & gardens are absolutely lovely! Jon & Shirley are very special people...a most interesting couple...we did so enjoy our time with them...and Holly is the perfect four legged hostess. She provided us with many special moments! We had the best sleep and loved waking up to the sound of birds singing! Breakfast was superb...Shirley is a spectacular Chef! Everything...from our menu choices, the fruit with home made yoghurt to the fluffy blueberry muffins was absolutely perfect! Jon makes a delicious cup of cappuccino too! We will savour memories of this special place!

The mansion is just a beautiful spot to spend a night or two. Jon and Shirley are a lovely and fun couple who run the huge place and do everything to make you feel at home. Be sure to give Holly a belly rub to ensure the extra cozy feeling and enjoy the luxurious breakfast with sight on the huge garden with pool, sculptures and trees.

Our family of 4 stayed at Hadleigh for 2 nights, using both the upstairs and downstairs suites. Both the house and extensive gardens are immaculately maintained and lovely to stay in. The garden could be in a magazine and guests are welcome to enjoy roaming through it. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and hosts Jon and Shirley open up many other rooms including the library for use by guests. The breakfasts each morning made by Shirley who went the extra mile to meet our dietary requirements were generous. Welcome drinks and canapés with on our first night was a lovely introduction and the heated swimming pool was a hit with our sons.

We couldn’t fault the lodge and highly recommend it.

Wow! We have just left our stay with Shirley and John and we wish we could go back. They really go above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect. From arrival they give you a good introduction to your suite and the welcome guide has lots of restaurant recommendations, which is very useful when you’re not from the area. There are so many little touches that make the stay incredible such as freshly baked biscuits, complimentary mini bar and homemade breakfast (we are still talking about the granola they make - so good!). Each day the breakfast offering changed which was great to have some variety and to be able to taste more of their wonderful cooking! John was also kind enough to drive us into town for the cricket to save us getting a taxi there and back, which is another example of the great, personalised service you receive when you stay with them.

Hadleigh really feels like a home away from home - especially with Hollie their lovely dog who kept us company on an evening! They show genuine interest in you and have some great stories to tell as well. Thank you for a lovely stay.
