Description: We’re an award-winning beachside bistro with three gorgeous guest rooms. Situated on stunning Waiheke Island, The Inn’s perfectly located in the heart of Oneroa village, with gorgeous views across the bay. Whether you are settling in for a weekend lunch with friends, a night away, or simply a crisp glass of wine at the bar, we have just the spot for you. Since opening we've become a Waiheke institution, much-loved by the resident locals, our regular Auckland visitors and those visiting from further afield. Just a 35 minute ferry ride from downtown Auckland, there’s no traffic jams getting here. Book a table on our sunny verandah and happily sip away as you watch the world, and a few dolphins, go by. Open 12 noon until late...

I visited The Oyster Inn yesterday, and I love the place! Very clean, very professional. I am a huge fan of oysters, and they were the best I have ever had! Don't pass up the opportunity to have a meal here. It's only a short ferry ride from Auckland, and very worth the trip. Thank you Andrew and Jonathan! I hope to make a trip back your way.

After a glorious day trip to Waiheke, we found ourselves at this newly-opened bar/ restaurant, and we were so impressed. What a lovely venue. The decor is relaxed and comfortable, in an upmarket East Hamptons style. The views across the bay are equally stunning, particularly if you can snag a table on the balcony. We stopped in for a few very enjoyable glasses of wine from the thoughtful wine list, and were also tempted by a few items from the snack menu- delicious! Being newly-opened, there were a few communication issues with the staff, but any grumbles were quickly erased by the smiling, sunny attitude of the staff, who seemed genuinely concerned about rectifying any problems. We'd go back to the Oyster Inn in a heartbeat, and thoroghly recommend this special place to all.

We recently visited Waiheke Island and dined in this restaurant, WOW. It's such a beautiful place.
The restaurant is upstairs (but has a ramp for wheelchair access), and has a lovely view of one of the many pretty bays.
My husband had the fresh oysters to start and said they were better than any he'd had in France. We both had the local line caught fish served with chunky chips and tartare sauce. The fish was absolutely beautiful, the chips cooked to perfection and the homemade tartare sauce tasted devine.
We definately recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the island. It is a must.

From what was a rather dodgy tired mexican restaurant in the centre of Oneroa on Waiheke Island to a simple yet sophisticated, charming boutique hotel, bar and restaurant.
With beautiful food, decor fitting it's wonderful location, spectacular views and very helpful and frendly staff. This is a place I look foward to visiting again soon.
