“A wonderful relaxing and homely place to stay”
Reviewed 20 November 2015 for a stay in October 2015

This is our second trip to this villa. Very much a last minute decision to go this october and we were very lucky that the place was still available. The pool is wonderfully heated, clean and is of a great size. The villa itself feels like a home, rather than some soulless other holiday accommodation we have stayed at before.

The villa is very well equipped and has plenty of space for up to 9 people; we had the place, just the two of us, but it still felt cosy.

The location of the place is really great. Very easy access to Faro airport but also within easy reach of some of the main resorts on the Algarve. There is very little in the immediate area but you are very close to may amenities. The local Church of Sao Lourenco de Almancil is a MUST to visit - its a hidden gem.

The owner is very helpful and accommodating which made the whole booking process very easy.

We will definitely be going back - hopefully very soon

“Grandad, I think Paradise is like this !”
Reviewed 7 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

What my grandson said to me on the first day!
From the moment we entered the Villa we found it exceeding all our expectations. Maintained and furnished to a very high standard, and Tastefully decorated. A perfect child friendly property, packed with extras, Books, DVDs, Toys, information on the local area, Superbly well equipped kitchen. Just so much to mention ! It was spotlessly clean, Sonia , the local Manager was a very friendly and helpful person, ensuring we had a pleasant stay. My grandchildren are in love with it and want to go again next year. Sincere thanks to all for making my break a memorable one.

“Wonderful child friendly villa so well equipped for the perfect holiday”

We went for the first time to the Algarve with our two young children and our friends with their baby, and didn't know what to expect of the villa or the area.We were so lucky to find Casa da Oliveira! It is only a short drive from the airport and very close to Almancil which we found to be a vibrant town despite it being out of the main season.
Our two youngsters spent hours in the heated pool and the safety fence kept our youngest from wandering into the pool when our backs were turned! Everything we could have asked for was provided with numerous games for inside and out to the superbly equipped kitchen.
We will certainly return to this great holiday villa in its beautiful location.

Liked best: The way the villa provided for a completely happy holiday
Liked least: Not much to complain about but I guess the only downside was not being within walking distance of beaches, shops, etc.

“Everyone was Happy”
Reviewed 4 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We stayed at Casa Da Oliveira for one week in August 2013. We were a party of two families with Teenagers and one 5 year old. The house was perfect . Clean, Comfortable, well furnished, well equipped from kitchen utensils to pool and garden toys. There was nothing we could think of that wasn't provided. We spent a very relaxing week mainly by the pool and barbequing. We ventured out a couple of times to restaurants of which there was a great choice. The notes in the house were really helpful in directing us to places that would suit our party.
The cleaners arrived mid-week and left the entire house and patio spotless.

I would highly recommend this to families. Everyone was happy- a rarity.

Thank you for your comments about how complete everything is in Casa da Oliveira. As we have our own families that like to stay at the villa we have equipped it as our second home. If we hadn't our own grandchildren would have let us know!!
It was good to hear that the maids left everything spotless. They have been cleaning the villa for a long time now and we often receive praise from our guests for their neat work.

“Not to be trusted!”

We booked Casa da Oliveira this summer and we had fond memories of the villa, up until we returned home when we got an email from the owner saying and he could not return all our deposit.

The reasons he gave did not add up to the high percentage of deposit we lost. The fabricated lies told by so called "house manager" ( to be honest I wouldn't trust her as far as I could throw her ) were completely untrue.

When emailing the owner to confront these lies he was insulting and seemed to have rose tinted glasses when it concerned the house manager.

I have tainted memories of the villa and I would never recommend this villa to anyone.

This review is so very sad. Over 9 years of renting many weeks a year we have seldom needed to deduct monies from our guest’s deposits. Most own up voluntarily to breakages or damage caused. If it was otherwise we would not have the large number who return year upon year.
Photos were sent of the two items now irretrievably damaged and the relatively small amount deducted was considerably less than the cost of replacing them.
Our housekeeper, as many guests have said, is a lovely helpful lady who has faithfully looked after Casa da Oliveira since we bought it in 2003, and, they often comment on how well she presents it. The language used by the reviewer about people he barely knows was unfortunate to say the least!
As always we bend over backwards to meet enquirers requests and allowed them a higher occupancy than we normally accept as well as hiring a second cot at our own expense. Apart from feeling sad myself that a guest feels this way it is especially sad that they are unable to accept the damage that was demonstrably caused by their party.
