Our family party stayed a couple of nights recently and were pleased with the experience. It was the first holiday venue for 3 of the travelling party some 50+ years ago so lots of memories and emotions doing the rounds!
Dining menu and room very good as was the service.
Particularly like the check-in desk...an old writing desk in the hall with chairs for the guests to use during the process! Open fire in the sitting room, small bar with folk music on occasions, creaking stairs, views across the fields to the River Tay. Great stuff.

Was here checking out the yew tree and decided a coffee would be good.
We ordered.... Later we found out it was £3 each... For what was a very milky flat white.
The coffee was weak and didn't really taste of coffee.

Had been before several years back was so good decided to give it another try even though meant taking us 40 mins from where we were on Land Rover course. Well worth it. Location stunning Scotland’s longest glen? River Lyon runs through glen with Ben lawyers down the road - great place to cycle as very quiet. Village is largely thatched very pretty and very rare in Scotland now.

Hotel in castellated house had been beautifully restored and retains all its original features. Rooms well appointed and very comfortable with traditional scottish modern twist. Bathroom high quality. Rooms very quiet as old building with proper thick walls. Has charming public bar with open fire but as was sunny we sat outside in glorious sun in their gardens to watch world go by. Public rooms tastefully furnished. Dining room formal in style white table cloths etc. Food good and well presented wine list ok. Price wise a bargain.
staff great particularly the lady who seems to be the manager and the girl from France who seemed to happily turn her hand to most things.
Will certainly go back and stay longer would happily recommend to chums looking for good quality hotel on tour of Scotland or a few days away in stunning countryside

Having made a quick decision to pause at Fortingall early on Friday evening, My friend and I were delighted to be offered a table in the historic dining room of Fortingall Hotel at such short notice.
The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was superb.

Room Tip: any room would be restful in this peaceful location.
