Almost a mill pond the day we visited but as always, a stunning beach with all sorts of people enjoying the sun, sand and surf (not today though)a must do when visiting Noosa/ Noosaville. Pack the sunscreen, book and towel, it's easy to spend some serious time here.
We got lucky with the weather. Sunny skys, calm conditions and warm temperatures to escape our NZ cool and windy Spring. We first visited Noosa about 20 years ago. What a transformation! Lovely boardwalk, clean sand, clear water (apart from patches of seaweed). You've done well Noosa!
I love this beach as it basically has no waves (or very little ones if any). The water is usually gorgeously clean (however this visit the red weed was in on sections of the beach but it could be avoided). I love that you can see fish swimming around you even though there are a lot of people. Yes the beach is busy and very popular and at peak times you need to get there early to get a park but it is definitely worth it. There are also lots of places nearby to stay, eat, drink and lovely walks.
We drive up from Brisbane for the day. Really nice beach but water wasn't as blue as we expected.
Lots of shops and nice restaurants near by which was great. It was really buzzing at night.
Parking was hard to find, mostly because of the long weekend and school holidays.
A very nice beach, I would suggest arriving early, 7 o'clock, if you are driving there there is parking available at the woods, and the spaces immediately left are 3 hr spaces. It does get very busy but this should not put you off.
