I stayed at Oceans some eleven years ago, it was Wow Wow Wow. Amazing, pristine and sparkling. Was there last week and Wow again, wow how can a place go deteriorate so much to become a three star block of apartments. Reading previous comments I am a total loss at to what apartments they stayed in. The furniture i n 604 as you will see from the photo is no way luxurious it is ninetys furniture and certainly not comfortable, one does not expect plastic dining chairs, nor plastic serving bowls etc to have food on. The kitchen cupboards where food is stored have rusty hinges on all the doors, it was horrible. The mirror in the bathroom had all the silver worn away so the glass at the bottom was brown, the frame on the floor of the shower had not been cleaned out for months, the grime was so thick. Overall the the servicing of the apartments lacked attention, once in ten days were the tiled floors swept, the carpet which was actually dirty once had the cleaner on it. The paintwork I believe to be original from when the block was built some nineteen years ago, it was faded, marked and unclean all along the floor. The balcony furniture one table four chairs we just ordinary inexpensive furniture, a view like they have one should have better furniture. The tiles in the swimming pool were broken and missing in places, not a good look and to make matters worse the internet was impossible. When I informed reception what was happening they said they have to reboot the modem, then it worked, it did for some twenty hours and then no internet again, this went on every day, one receptionist did inform that I was because of covid and I was using it at a busy time, in the end we used Sunshine Coast free internet. The brochure on offer is the same one as eleven years ago, but unfortunately the apartments were not. It wasn't clean, it was not serviced as it should have been, reception staff and housekeeping said the place needed a renovation, it sure did. Whilst in Mooloolaba we checked out another apartment block on the esplanade, it was half the price and what we saw was pristine. I hope the Body Corp read this review and take some action if only to save themselves but more importantly to give the customer what they have paid for.
