I would never recommend anyone stay here. We found out upon arriving that management had made a mistake and had double booked us over the Christmas/ New Year period. We had booked a family trip in August and then confirmed the accommodation closer to the date. The manager, Dominic, refused to acknowledge it was their mistake and kept saying "he is too busy to sort this out". He also kept saying we had cancelled through a third party platform. What had happened was that we booked initially 4 x 1 bedroom apartments through Hotels.com. Dominic then phoned us in August and said they did not have the 4 x 1 bedroom apartments but that he had 2 x 2 bedroom apartments (this was for 4 couples). He said to cancel Hotels.com and book directly. Accordingly, we booked directly through him over the phone and received two separate confirmation emails for each apartment and paid $200 deposit for each booking. Upon arrival on Boxing Day, Dominic said that one of the apartments had been cancelled by us, which was simply not true. We had emailed the week prior to check what time check in was for both apartments. Upon hearing of the error, we asked Dominic to help us arrange new accommodation on the basis that finding similar accommodation would be incredibly difficult and expensive at that time of year. We were pleasant and tried to resolve the issue but Dominic kept saying he was too busy and that we were after a "free holiday". Seacove directly deducted $2,400 from our credit card for the two apartments ($1,200 per apartment for 4 nights), even though they only provided us one apartment. We have asked for a refund for $1,200 but are yet to receive this. We then had to arrange accommodation for the two couples unable to stay at Seacove due to their mistake. Luckily there was two rooms available at Novotel, however they were $1,200 each for 4 nights, being double what we had paid to Seacove for the one 2 bedroom apartment which was suitable for two couples. We asked Seacove to cover the additional cost of staying at Novotel, as this was their mistake. They eventually agreed to pay $1,200 to Novotel for one of the rooms. This means we are out of pocket for the second room. As our family of four couples all live in separate states we had deliberately booked somewhere that we could all be together. Instead we spent our holiday driving between Coolum and Twin Waters. The accommodation at Seacove itself was terrible - the apartment was dirty and the smoke alarm appeared to be broken. This is by far the worst travel experience we have ever had and very disappointing for what was supposed to be a happy family time. We understand that mistakes happen, but the way that this was handled by management was atrocious. We didn't want to have to make such a negative review online, however we tried to resolve this directly to no avail. Sadly we now have to pursue legal action and lodge a dispute with our bank for the unauthorised payment taken.
