Views and awesome sunrises

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 21 Apr 2022via mobile
We stayed in a 2 bedroom Villa and it succeeded all our needs, clean, tidy, great views, 2 pools, quiet and foxtel!
The spa bath was amazing and a lovely way to
End the day with a glass of bubbles!
We will be back for sure, really impressed snd would highly recommend staying here.

Don’t ever book with these people. The talk the talk but don’t walk the walk. I booked a 3 bedroom executive villa for the Easter break with my family and got a 3 bedroom standard villa instead for the same price. (Number 28). When asked about this I was told there must have been miss communication. My booking specifically state a 3 bed exec and was told by Deb that it was only 20 stairs to one open plan living area. We ended up with 2 flights of stairs with bedrooms on one level and living area on another. This was a catastrophe as my wife had 2 knee replacements and was confined to one area most of the time.
In addition I booked and paid for a 2 burner BBQ and was given a one burner hotplate!! When I enquire about this they said they don’t know as this is what they have and I would be refunded. We are only hoping. To make up for this we were given a bottle of complimentary wine. Needless to say we could not use the BBQ at all and it was just taking up space on the balcony where there were a cheap set of plastic outside table and chairs. The main bedroom had 2 single beds push together to attempt to make a queen bed. Needless to say the bedding didn’t fit.
The place is VERY dirty. Dead bugs and dust on top of the fridge where we were suppose to find the WiFi password. This was located on the microwave as the top of the fridge was obviously to dirty to put something on. Both main bedroom and family toilet seats are loose. Lots of dirt under the beds show that the place is not maintained properly.
Would I recommend The Point Coolum Beach?
NO !!

Thanks so much for your feedback, NeelsH. We are so sorry that we did not meet your expectations during your stay. We regret that prior to your arrival a maintenance issue in the villa we originally discussed with you meant that we had to relocate you to an alternative villa at the last minute. We should have called to inform you and are sorry for not doing so. We were conscious of your many requests and so moved you to the section of the complex with the best views of the coastline, thinking this might improve your stay. However in doing so, we apologise for overlooking your request for a single level property and are sorry that the internal stairs affected the enjoyment of your stay. We do not have a 'standard' category of 3 bed villa, although based on your comments and your dissatisfaction with the type of property chosen we can understand why you may feel it was not the calibre of property you were expecting. We appreciate your comments and are sorry that we clearly missed the mark on thsi occasion. We hope that the other parts of your holiday we more memorable and that you otherwise enjoyed your visit to the Sunshine Coast.

To advertise the One Bedroom Villa we were allocated as luxurious and boutique is a significant over-reach. Tiny fridge with a freezer box that needed defrosting, tiny microwave, tiny two element stovetop, tiny bin in with the dishes, the lounge was more comfortable than the bed so I spent two nights of our stay sleeping there. Everything was mostly clean and functioned as expected but the unit overall was average at best.

Thanks for your comments, 22Karen22. We are sorry to learn that your visit wasn't as comfortable as you had hoped. We take on board your feedback and apologise for falling short of your expectations. While our One Bedroom Standard Villas are advertsied as being equipped with a small kitchenette and bar fridge, we expect them to be better presented than they were for your arrival. Our team works hard to make postive and memorable experiences for the thousands of guests we welcome each year and your honest feedback reminds us that we can be more vigilant in how we do this. We hpe you enjoyed your visit to the Sunny Coast and would love to welcome you back again soon.

Great location and less crowded than Noosa but still within the area if you wish to go for the day. Beautiful beaches and Point Coolum number 50 is the place to stay. Beautifully decorated with every comfort catered for.As each unit is privately owned you need to stay in one that has been recently renovated as some of the units are quite dated. Number 50 is outstanding and sitting on the balcony at night watching the sunset is amazing.Look forward to my next stay. only negative is bring back the beautiful bogonvillias that use to line the steps as the new plants look horrible.

Room tip: Room 50 is the best.

Thanks for your feedback, Jacinta. We're delighted that you enjoyed your recent stay with Frances128 in villa 50. We’re not surprised that the villa has become your favourite. After its recent furniture upgrade it is in good company with the many properties that have had similar upgrades. Thanks so much for your comments about the bougainvillea . It’s been quite some time since we had to say goodbye to it and we miss it too. It was very beautiful - and brutal and was sadly damaging the surrounding buildings. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon!

From the moment we drove into Coolum and saw the coastline, to casting our eyes onto the Greek like structures of The Point we fell in love. The complex of holiday houses just worked. It was the cleanest complex i have ever been to. When we got to our accommodation we were blown away again. The views were impeccable from every room and the furnishings were 1st class.

Room tip: Relax on one of the 4 beaches in the immediate vicinity, stroll along the Esplanade for a relaxing cuppa, or visit the Surf Life Saving Club for an iced cold bevvy.

Stayed in Villa 50 which has been tastefully updated. A beautiful stay with comfortable beds, new furniture and views to die for from all rooms. Best thing about this apartment, there are no stairs to deal with. Would highly recommend this unit. The Point itself is beautiful....a mediterranean style complex with beautiful gardens and a heated pool.

Room tip: Ask for Villa 50 if you want no stairs and new modern furniture
