If you are visiting Coolum, this is the place to stay. I have stayed twice now in the Executive Villas overlooking the ocean and I could honestly spend my entire time sitting on that balcony and be just as satisfied with my trip to the Sunshine Coast. You get an amazing, intimate view of the ocean, Coolum's beaches, the sunrise and moon & stars at night.
On my last trip (September) I saw whales from the balcony almost daily. The Point is close enough to walk to the beaches or the Beach Street shops, but driving and parking has never been an issue for me either. The closest beach right across the street is quite secluded and absolutely beautiful. However even better is Second Bay at Point Arkwright just a few meters further (in the direction of Beach St).
For both of my stays I was travelling solo, and I enjoying the bath (with jets!), yoga and reading on the balcony, cooking in the full kitchen, and having pizza/pasta delivered from Peregian some nights (note: there aren't many options for delivery nearby, but plenty of places to dine in).
I highly recommend this place - solo, couples or families - looking for a peaceful tropical retreat where you get to fall asleep and wake up to the sounds of the ocean, guaranteed to leave feeling refreshed.

Absolutely had a great stay in the villas on the top of the hill! Was very practical and functional for two couples and a baby. We lived on the deck for every meal and had comfortable lounge and table/dining to relax in. The beds could do with a bit of a more comfort and firmer mattress topper or updated mattress but that didn’t affect us too much with our stay or sleep. The views were breathtaking from the privacy of the villa. The beach was a short stroll and town centre is a short drive. Uber eats is not yet established but had menu log and local restaurants who offered delivery which is great if you want to support local businesses. The villa we stayed in could have done with a bit more of updated tv unit in the bedroom and lounge, but if this doesn’t bother you and you can survive without Netflix - like us old school 90’s kids, you’ll be fine. Definitely am already planning on our next stay at The Point for a longer stay as we didn’t want to leave!!! Hands down most comfortable and convenient place we’ve stayed at on the northern end of the sunny coast. Not at all touristy in anyway - a very laidback, private and clean place to stay inside and out!

This was an exceptional holiday destination, beauty, elegant and overall just so relaxing!
Absolutely beautiful terrace we stayed in, we will definitely be coming back to stay again. The beds and interior were all fantastic not to mention the breathtaking views outside.
