Really enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Papakura Motor Lodge. Definitely our favorite place to stay in this area. We did not have advance reservations, but the owner, Steve, was happy to show us all the available rooms for us to choose from. The rooms are basic, but very clean and new. We chose a room with a full kitchen, which was very well supplied. Would definitely recommend Papakura Motor Lodge if you need somewhere to stay in the area. (...and the freshly baked muffins that we were given at check in were a really nice touch!)

We stayed here while visiting family and found it had everything we needed. It was spacious and quiet. The owners were friendly (including muffins for us when we checked in). We would happily stay there again.

The motel is all single level. We were greeted by the very friendly owner. He helped with our cases to the room and also gave us a tray of hot muffins that his wife had just baked.
The bedroom was large and had a large adjoining kitchen. Shower and toilet were both in separate rooms.
There were framed photos in the room taken by the owner.
Another wonderful gesture was his offer to take us to the railway station in the morning.
