This place is really easy to find, and an absolute bargain. Receptionist offered a warm muffin on arrival, and helped with directions to supermarket. Wifi is plentiful, basically kitchen, but easy to make a meal. Everything you need. I recommend

This motel in Papakura is an ideal place to stay just outside of Auckland. Perfect if you land at night or are leaving early in the morning. It's no more than an hour from Auckland International airport (depending on traffic). The room (No 4) was absolutely spotless. Separate en suite and separate kitchenette - perfect. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful AND we got freshly baked blueberry muffins on arrival. Doesn't get any better than this - highly recommend this motel.

I stayed here for $149 - for the simple reason that the cheapest hotel in the city was $350 - on a Wednesday night in February!! Expectations were low but I was pleasantly surprised. All the features you need - Cable TV, Airconditioning, free and fast wifi. Bed was comfortable.

The room was large with a kitchenette. It was clean but a little old and worn. We were given warm muffins when we checked in. There are restaurants down the main street, but it is about a 30 minute walk. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

As with some of the other places I have stayed for work, this motel is quite dated decor wise but don't let that deter you. Perfectly clean, great service.... Amazing homemade complementary muffins. For me the most comfy bed I have slept in other that my own. Only mark off is for not having the full range of Sky channels but I am being picky. Will be back for sure.
